Instructions

Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

Step 2: Half and pit the plums, then place them in a baking dish.

Step 3: Pour the orange juice over the plums and drizzle with honey. Adjust the honey amount based on your preference for sweetness.

Step 4: Sprinkle the cinnamon evenly over the plums.

Step 5: Bake for 40 minutes, or less if the plums are very ripe. Adjust the baking time as needed: if the plums are very ripe, they may need less time; if they are firmer, bake until they become soft and aromatic.

Step 6: Serve the plums as a topping for yogurt, oatmeal, or ice cream (the Affiliate links open in a new tab). The tartness of the plums balances with the sweetness of the honey and warmth of the cinnamon adding a delicious contrast to your breakfast or dessert!

What I Learned

Tihs plum dessert topping tastes fantastic over plain yogurt, especially when paired with a side of granola. It also adds a wonderful, fruity touch to oatmeal, making breakfast feel a bit more special. For dessert, try it over ice cream or over a slice of cheesecake. If you are hosting, this spiced topping is a great addition to a cheese platter (the Amazon affiliate link will open in a new tab) with crackers—offering a  blend of sweet and savory flavors.
