Viorica was born and raised in Romania, where her love of cooking began at a young age. In 1983, she immigrated to the United States with her six children to reunite with her husband, who had escaped communist Romania two years earlier. Those early years were full of challenges, but the kitchen remained a place of comfort and strength. Cooking allowed Viorica to bring her family together, preserve the flavors of home, and share her culture in a new country. Over the decades, she has perfected recipes that blend tradition with practicality, always focusing on meals that feed the body and heart. Many of the dishes featured at Vio’s Kitchen come directly from her hands and her videos, where she shares the knowledge passed down through generations. For Viorica, food is more than sustenance — it is love, heritage, and the bond that unites family.
